There have been so many times when I've thought - wish I had my camera!!!!!  Or thought later on that I should have taken the opportunity to go and get it...

This is gross, and you might think me strange but... Whenever I write about birds now I am reminded of how my late cat Richie snatched a poor little chickadee off the feeder once - so fast that the birds legs were still attached to the feeder.  My son thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen - little legs still standing but no bird.

A gross picture, but one of a kind I would think.  Then again, who would want to look at it?

So anyone have a story?

No great stories, but I can relate. I've been trying to get a picture of the Brahman cattle down the road for months. They're either not by the road, or I don't have my camera with me.

Same with trying to get a shot of a Great Blue Heron flying overhead. They sometimes come right over me, but never when I have a camera.

I was recently at the Paralympics and was lucky enough to see Britain's Sarah Storey win her 4th gold medal of the games. I was right at the finish line when she crossed with her arms in the air and holding the British flag but was too busy cheering to take a photo.

I did get some nice ones of her receiving her gold medal though.
