#ShoutOut for Paul

Ever since Paul arrived at Wizzley I have noticed how much effort he has put in to assisting wherever he can - and he can assist, big time!

So, I thought, even if I have not (yet) required his expertise, it would be only right to thank him and to give him a massive #ShoutOut so that all those who have received assistance (and those that haven't, yet) could add their t'hank you' to this thread.

Great work Paul! If I am ever able to assist you I will not hesitate to do so.If you want / need any promotion for your work, just let me know.

In this online world it is people like yourself that deserve to receive back more than you put in - so you should be a millionaire by this time next year - if the 'rules of engagement' hold true!

Have a great season of good will - as I am sure all those that use this forum will want to endorse these few words of thanks.

Hear, hear with loud cheers.

I will also extend this thanks back many more years.   It may not be obvious here, but Paul is one of my Runescape friends.

I head up a clan there (group of players who band together to socialize or join in quests etc in game).  It's been running since 2007.   Back in the day, I realised that I couldn't be logged in 24/7, so I needed generals to help me run the place.  I looked at all of the clan members and chose those who helped others the most.  I also favoured those with a mature outlook and a tendency not to look objectively to resolve conflicts.

Paul was one of those generals when he was just thirteen years old.  His nomination was endorsed in a vote of his peers.  He's been well-respected there for many years; so it's no surprise to me to see how helpful he is here too.

I'm proud to say that I've watched the boy grow up into a wonderful man.  I'll be the first to add my name in any shout out to him.  If he represents the next generation, then I have no worries about the future.

A tendency to look objectively!  Sorry typo there!

Oh wow! Really was a massive shock to see this in the latest topic box on the front page. I'm really not sure what to say either... I'm flattered and just glad that I could be of service to you all!

Humagaia - Thank you for your kind words and starting this thread. I'll keep your offers in mind and if there's anything that you'd like me to do just send a PM my way. I don't exactly have the biggest advertising platform or anything like that, but whatever it is I'll have a crack at it! I also hope that by this time next year I'll be a millionaire, I could really do with that to pay off my ever increasing student debt! I hope you too have a great season of good will and happy (late) winter solstice!

Jo - I hadn't realised but it's surely around 6/7 years of knowing you by now which is well, a very long time! You should be credited with the help too as most of the time it is a joint effort to solve the problems :P ... Also, were it not for you, I wouldn't be here in the first place with these wonderful people!

Brenda - Thank you! And yes, it was very kind of him :)

HollieT - Haha, I'm glad your eyes have been saved - though I apologise if it's reduced night time article writing efficiency!

Achim - I feel honoured to be thanked by the co-founder of Wizzley, thank you for helping to create this site and if I can be of service, do let me know!

Ragtimelil - We've certainly got a few issues resolved and I'm happy I could be of service! I also do agree that Jo and others are also a wonderful help to the Wizzley community!

Thank you all again, happy holidays and if you need help, you know where to get it! Wink

Ditto on all said here, Paul -

We haven't had direct communication, but when I'm reading forum threads, your sincerity, concern for others and willingness to give of your time to help others stands out like a gigantic highlighted paragraph in a new textbook...

Happy Holidays and thanks for sharing such positive energy with all of us!

2uesday - Thank you :) - How did it end up with the laptop in the end?

Sheri - Thank you also! And I'm glad to hear that your eyes are doing well! :)

Dustytoes - It's a good feeling to know that I'm okay at explaining things - I used to find it hard to explain things so it means a lot that that's getting better and thank you for it :)

frugalrvers - I'm flattered that you've observed that of me - it's a great feeling to know that I'm giving off a good impression! As you say, we've not had direct contact but I find your story fascinating!

CADoerr - Thank you! I'm glad that it's helped you out! :)

Happy holidays, Wizzley!
