I have had a website I let go dormant for over a year. Its currently got no content on it and its just currently a domain name.

Anyone ever go back and recover old websites and install Wordpress on them, or do you just toss them aside or flip 'em on Flippa?

Hence the forum title, as its now a website thats starting from scratch

If the domain name is good and the web site hasn't suffered any Google penalty I tend to keep them and hope to have time to get around to build it up one day. Domain names are like good wine, they get better the older they get. SY

Never Flip unless you have a good reason to do so. You never know when you will want it. Flip when you have built the site TO flip.

I go with the previous suggestion, build any domain up however old. Age is good.

I will have to check out its rankings, but it is an aged website. Its 3 years old and was my first silly attempt at being an 'expert' about creating a website when I had no idea about SEO, keywords, traffic, links, et al.

So it has ONE thing going for it at the mo.

Do make sure the old URLs you built get redirected to appropriate wordpress posts once the site is set up. This means that you need to create some document somewhere (format doesn't matter) with the exact URLs you're currently using.
