This is the funniest Craig's List ad I've ever seen. And, boy, is it ever so true:

We love it! Jim and I both play guitar in our duo, but he played bass most of his life in bands...thanks for the laughs. Sending it on to a musician family member who lives in Austin - geez, what if it is him?!

I don't even want to get started on my "good old band days" stories...

One particular show comes to mind: During the mid-70s, I was the keyboard player for a German pop choir, and we were the featured star act at a Grand Prix (Formula 1) Gala with all the racers and press and everything.

All I remember is that my head fell forward at some point during the first set and bumped against the front of the upright piano, and that the manager had to rush out from backstage and straighten me up.

Then I played one song in the wrong key, which is somewhat noticeable in a trio (piano, bass, drums). On the other hand, it didn't matter all that much, because the choir members were all pretty much plastered, too, and sang in a variety of tunes, as well.

Next thing I know, it's 5 a.m. and I'm waking up in the lap of one of the singers, while we were driving back home from the event. I have no recollection of the second set, at all. The manager did, though, and it was nothing to write home about.

So, I can identify with the desperate plea in the ad.  Laughing

Gotta love Craigs List, and to boot it's something we can all connect with, very funny thanks for sharing.

I saw a craigs list ad where some joker wanted to trade a bag of drugs and his Playstation for a Kinnect when it first came out (x box?), the guy even posted an image of the drugs- he was arrested and charged with several things and his ad became famous on the "Fail" blog...

And when eBay was new someone actully put their kidney on there, and a new rule was born... there was another but it's too messed up to mention... gotta love the internet!

Hey Katie, guess where I learned about hubpages and started my web 2.0 writing career? hahaha, craigs list help wanted ads (in writing section)... I made someone a lot of money before hp tore us both out of the loop and ostrasized me... I'm thinking we should place ads there for signups what do you think?
