I can't cook, won't be participating in the cooking recipe challenge Cry!  My pancakes recipe is the only contribution I will be making here at Wizzley and not adding it to the contest.Embarassed  The main reason I'm a vegetarian is fruits, nuts, seeds and veggies don't need to be cooked.

So don't think I'm turning my nose up to all the great cooks adding the many great recipes I just cannot cook, don't know any good recipes and wouldn't know what to do with them if I did.

Any body else culinary challenged like me?

I completely understand.  I love living in a big city where food is everywhere, no cooking no dishes no thinking about it.  Wink

My Mom cooked like you do and is a great cook.  I think because I was the baby of the family they kept me from underfoot in the kitchen and busy doing other things.

About a year ago, I had a good friend coaching me via skype on how to fry an egg.

Needless to say, I steer well clear of the kitchen. My expertise is strictly confined to oven chips and toast. Laughing

I had no idea, Katie.

Until I met my husband, I couldn't cook either. And even for years after, we lived on food which comes ready made and you just shove it in the oven! I started getting interested in cooking when my daughter was on the way, 5 years ago.

You can use the recipe module in a creative way too - did you see Terri's Snake Party Food page with the fantastic cucumber snake (sorry on my mobile so can't easily link to it). Anyway, that's a great example of a recipe page where food doesn't have to be cooked at all.

Why not show off some of your vegetarian dishes and the combinations of foods you eat? That wouldbe helpful to other people wanting to pursue a healthy diet.

Katie,

My younger sis is a Vegan and honestly, if she came to my house for dinner, I would have no idea how to 'cook' for her. There must be some recipes and / or prep work for vegans/vegetarians and related information that would classify as a recipe.

It certainly wold save me from making / cooking recipes of disaster for my non meat eating family and friends.

Oh my great ideas and maybe I'll compile some of my vegan and vegetarianism cooking skills to recipe form...

My biggest problem is when I get hungry I eat, grab a piece of fruit or start munching on raw nuts and vegetables. Who needs to cook?
