When you do an update on your wizzle, at the very bottom the date should change - it should say "Updated: --/--/----"

This is important because the date gets displayed in the SERPS and seems to increase clickthrough rate.

The following article also shows a case study where just the date changing appears to have increased search engine rankings, because Google favors freshness:

It's compelling enough to make it worth while to go through wizzles correcting spelling mistakes, improving product selection, updating information, anything that will allow you to update the page and hence generate an updated date.

Thanks.  I can concentrate on such things now that I have published that important 100th Wizzle.  I wanted to get there before starting updates.

Oh, I didn't notice the update built in, and have noting when I update :-) Oh well...anyway, I do notice that updating and republishing does increase traffic some for a little bit, and even perhaps a few sales, so try to go through and update periodically. It is a good way to come across things on Amazon that aren't available anymore, broken links, spelling errors, add new content, etc.

I've been updating today and have tried using pinterest and twitter after I've finished. Something strange is happening, though, as soon as I post. When I check my before and after stats on 7 day visits, I am consistently losing 20 points on each. How can that be? Is anyone else finding that problem?

I updated and didn't notice that with the stats, but maybe it's because I didn't look. I tend to ignore that score.
