VigLinks

There was announcment made today on Zujava that writers will no longer be able to use VigLinks on their pages.  Unlike Wizzley, these links were inserted by the writers not the site itself.  The reason give was "The links used violate some of the policies we have with different partners". I didn't use VigLink over there, but many did. 

I am only bringing this up because I would not want VigLinks removed from our pages here since I do very well with them when adding eBay to my pages.   A lot of my pages are in a way built around ebay.

So, just looking for confirmation that VigLink will be on our pages indefinitely.

They didn't say, but they only partner with Amazon and Shindigz, so I would have to assume it is their agreement with Shindigz...maybe? 

Update:  Here is the reason,

If we ever were to be approved as an EBay affiliate we would not be able to have Viglink on our site (since they use EBay text links).

Ebay text links in general aren't something we want on Zujava, for appearance reasons and for the value of the link. Google has also penalized sites using eBay text links in the past, so as a precaution, we decided to ban

Now, I have never heard of google penalizing sites using ebay text links, however, I have read in the past that Ebay wants visitors to know they are going to Ebay when they click on a text link.  So you should link like this,

Ebay carries a large selection of "widgets" (link)  rather than just "widgets" (link).  This way the visitor knows they are going to Ebay to view widgets.

That is the way I always do my Ebay  text links here and on my blogs.

I got a notice there was a delay on the viglink earnings report here regarding my earnings this month...

Katie - don't worry about that. Looks like they show this most of the time.

Currently, we see no reason why not to continue with VL.
