I need a little global insight. Can you help?

In the UK we call the 1870's 'Mid-Victorian'.

What would you call that period of time?

If you would call it 'Mid-Victorian' - please also respond, so I can get a feel as to whether this is a good keyword for some 'Victorian' pictures I have.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I would call it a long time ago.

Kidding - it's the middle of the night here and I should be sleeping.

I guess the Victorian Era would be my response.

That gives me the info I need. I was not sure if you guys in the US used 'Victorian' as a description for the 1840's to the 1900's. She was our Queen, so I thought you might have different descriptions, associated perhaps with other 'personalities', other than that which we (UK) use for the period.

Thanks Dusty!

Victorian Era

Victorian Times

Victorian Period

add 'The' and also 'during' to the above,

These extras may help with long keywords.

I'd say use all the suggestions somewhere on the page, to be on the safe side. That includes 1870's...

We merely and most commonly refer to it as Victorian, Victorian Art, Victorian Decor, Victorian Clothing, Victorian furniture.  It is common to hear Americans refer to anything from and of that period as Victorian. PERIOD

Thanks everyone - it was necessary for me to check whether you guys know it as Victorian - seems a little strange to me in a way, but hey that's great as the keywords are universal.
