What is approved on Viglinks?

I go to Viglink and look up a merchant.  There is a green check mark indicating approval.  Then I go to the check merchant link and get a message the URL is not allowed for the selected campaign.  Which is correct?  I thought once the green check mark showed up that was adequate.

It seems that I am constantly contacting support for both viglinks and skimlinks these days. It's starting to get very frustrating. I have several of my own blogs that depend upon their merchants for monetization and they can't decide whether I'm in or out. I don't think it's their fault, it's the merchants who keep changing their strategies.

To answer your question more directly, I don't think they really know what's going on.

Thanks.  It is a difficult site.

Honestly, I've been supporting myself with affiliate marketing for over 20 years now. It's always been chaotic. Every day, there are merchants who end their programs without notice, reduce their commissions and exclude products. But there are also new programs and opportunities.

I am used to dealing with all of the networks like linkshare and shareasale along with indie programs, so the problems with Viglinks and Skimlinks don't surprise me. Then throw in Google and other search engines. It's a constant upheaval and I have to learn something new every day - like using social media, mobile apps and new website technologies. Keeps a woman on her toes!
