What's with the new menu?

I'm guessing it's a new feature as I just noticed it today. On top of every page is a menu and it's just a few general categories. IMHO I don't like it as it's not related to the page. It's static for every page irrespective of category and one thing's for sure - all categories don't have a spot in that top menu.

I believe the categories are related to the location of the article posted. I like it because as of now there's no easy way to navigate to more relevant content other than a few related articles. Pagewizz has had it implemented too and I think they like it. 

Yepp, the shown categories inside this menu bar depend on the chosen main topic of the article. They should be related to some degree. If not: they are manually selected for each main category and can be changed at any time by Anne and Achim.

It's a test: if readers like it, the menu will get some nice extra features, like showing relevant articles on hover ...

Ok thanks for the info Paul & Simon :) The Costume category doesn't have a good menu that's what I noticed. Checked out the others and it's all fine. The most relevant ones are on the far corners - but I guess that's where people's eyes go.

We tried to put ourselves into the readers' minds: what other topics could they find interesting after they're done with the article.

This assumes that the author picked the correct main- and sub-categories. 

Now the first one on your right is the main category and that's good. Thinking about the category in general it works out well :) Was just surprised to find entertainment and wedding on my haloween costume article as it's under beauty > Costumes

What's so surprising? These are all related categories, no?   

We're talking about other main categories that may interest the reader, not closely-related articles or sub-cats. Those can be found in the side bar.

It's all about showing the visitors what else is available on Wizzley, to keep them on our site.

Yes chef they are when you consider the entire category, that's when I realized it. Beauty and wedding is ok :) not halloween and weddings :D Anyway it's fine and would be a great addition to the site, hope it works out. 

I deleted what I wrote before because all of a sudden a new banner appeared at the top that took care of my concerns.  Looks good and makes perfect sense.
