I propose we start an annual celebration of this fine group of programmers, writers, community leaders and overall: Wizzley holiday. That day is simple, the birthday of Wizzley launching AND acquiring it's first official (not invitation) member (i.e. they came from the web not affiliate sign up etc...)...
We could eventually have maybe a Google kick back session (I think that's what they are calling the video conferencing with a bunch of people on Google) where members show up at their convenience and an all day sort of video things where you can meet each other face to face or face to avatar :).
If nothing else it would be a nice thing to put on the calendar to look forward to... chef would prepare food and show it to us then give us the recipe :)... Me, I'll be walking around with a box strapped to my neck "Wizzley t-shirts, get your mugs, mouse pads, and magnets here...." then chef would recommend the mouse pad that reads "Wizzley- where great people CLICK together"...
Anyone up to invent a holiday?

Will there be cake and a firework display?

Would be interesting, though if people aren't wanting to video chat, Skype's far better than Google hangout. When was Wizzley conceived? We could have a birthday party!

Here's a cake I made a few years ago.
Would something like that be okay?

How's that still standing and not flopped over? I'd guess at a thin wooden rod down the middle, but I'm not sure how well the outsides would stick to it unless smothered in some form of cream?
I'm not a chef.

What an incredible cake! Seems truly like a culinary feat of engineering. Unless, of course, it's photoshopped.

Oh, Paul...*sigh*
Actually, this was a show cake for a sugar art competition.
Base and cake layers are styrofoam covered with royal icing (tower) and fondant (base); image was painted with food colors on rice paper; crown, pillow, flowers, and flower pot made from sugar paste.

Don't be afraid, Pam. Paul knows how to cleanse himself with a little rubbing alcohol...

I re-opened this thread and this was the first thing I read. I'm genuinely scared to read up now.

Jo cracked some insider joke, Jerrico. But you are correct: Show cakes are just like real cakes but without the cake part. The reason for that, is that they'll be shown at many different cake shows and competitions, sometimes over the course of a year or more. Real cakes wouldn't hold up that long.
