Adsense Account, Hosted or Not - How do I Know?

Hello Wizzley!

When I first started writing online, I began on Hubpages. I applied and got approved for Adsense, but it was just a hosted account. It wouldn't work when I tried to use it here.

I have started my own website and I applied for Adsense. This morning I got an email telling me I was approved. I went to my Adsense account and the words "hosted account" no longer shows at the top of the page.

I don't want to change my Chitika here to Adsense if it won't work. I want to know if I was approved by Adsense, does that mean I can use my code anywhere, or only on my website?

Thanks!

Hmm why don't you give it a try? I think you should be able to use it anywhere. Never heard about it being hosted. But now that it was approved with your own site you can use it anywhere. I use my adsense id on my sites, hubpages and here on Wizzley

It sounds to me like you may be able to use AdSense here as well.  I've been using it here with no trouble for some time.

I'd recommend adding the code to Wizzley, then sitting back for a few days, and then checking your AdSense data to see if any impressions are showing up.  If not, then you can take it off.

You can also try viewing your Wizzley pages and seeing which adsense user ID is displaying in the code for the page--taking account that you may need to reload a few times to see it because some impressions get apportioned to the Wizzley account and/or the account of someone who referred you.

Thank you!

I've added my pub id and refreshed about 12 times and there was ads on each page. I was kind of gun shy because when I first came here I thought I had Adsense, only to be here for months and find out it wasn't working because I was only allowed to use it at Hubpages.

Non hosted accounts may be used on any website that complies with AdSense TOS :-) SO just go ahead. It should work fine.
