I just realized I posted an article here that is still posted on Suite101. I had moved it over to Wizzley quite a while back anticipating a take down by Suite101.  When I saw it last night, I thought, I wonder why I didn't post that?

My insert/edit link doesn't work.

No problem, you can take the Suite101 article offline now. Don't worry :)

Our dupe checker "copyscape" indicates that the page has been removed from Suite 101. So, no problem, Brenda.

It's likely just there in draft mode Brenda (on suite 101)...

Hi Chef or Simon

I have a similar issue with my articles. Running a Copyscape shows that the Suite link to the article is still there, although a 404. I've asked Google to remove my cached work linking to Suite, which I believe they have, but Yahoo's 404 cache removal is automated and may take up to a month. (Not even investigated Bing yet...)

From Copyscape when I follow the old Suite link I get:

Error: 404 - please ensure you entered the URL correctly. Click to try viewing the page directly:

http://suite101.com/article/the-annual-retro-computer-museum-gathering-may-2011-a395690

(error message when posting says the above link is not valid either).

Then following that link to the old site:

Sorry, that page does not exist

The page you're looking for doesn't exist, but hey, don't let that stop you. If you want to peruse our social knowledgebase, that's what this search box is for.

Am I allowed to post the same articles here yet, or would it be better to wait until they're totally off Copyscape?

Yes, I know, noob's question, but each site has differing rules on the provenance of reposted work. Sorry, guys, don't want to step on your toes and if I have to wait, I will. I have more than enough new unposted material, after all, just curious to know.

Thanks.

We have seen the same results in Copyscape, and we have accepted your articles. So, don't worry. Publish away!  Smile

Ah, Chef, you star. Thank you!

In that case, be prepared for a mix of new and old articles to appear in the next few weeks.

And for your next trick, any chance you could stop my knee from hurting? It's driving me insane and yelling so loudly I can barely write tonight. Cry

Laughing Ah, you really are multi-talented! I might have known a chef would have something to fix a niggly knee needing some warmth, mind.

Having had supper, the knee is feeling much more amicable, but as I am zonked I'll be taking advantage of the lull in pain and going to bed soon, in the hope of actually getting some sleep before it wakes up again (and wakes me and my husband in the process).

Once I have defeated it with a good night's sleep, I shall resume my article posting, seeing as you've given me the green light to post now. I'm working on a couple of related new articles as well as sprucing up some of the legacy work I bring with me in order to make a connected web of Wizzles on the same basic theme. I hope you'll approve...

You can bet your knee on it. Or vice versa.
