A new member on the site (who I know from other sites) sent me a message asking if the Chitika adverts are actually active on the site? I didn't realize that we could even add Chitika here (must have missed that!)
Just wondering if that's a work in progress thing or if the adverts are actually displayed now on the site - I haven't seen any Chitika adverts and neither had this user.
Thanks!

We're glad you asked, Susannah.
5 minutes ago, our own nightowl (Anne) published a tutorial article on this exciting new alternative for folks without an AdSense account.
Please get the full scoop her:

Oh awesome, thanks! Good timing!
Two questions:
-HOW do you set up channels to use here? LoL looking around but it appears I need to set up a link unit first?
-I understand how Adsense/Chitika are mutually exclusive but would it be possible at some stage to make it a choice when creating a wizz? I haven't had much luck with Chitika in the past so would like the chance to "test" it on some of my articles to see which one works better.

I don't think it is possible to apply this to individual pages, only to the entire member account.
Anne is the expert on Chitika. Perhaps she can add more info on her artikel about HOW to set up a channel.
I too won't use Chitika; I think AdSense is better. But for people without AdSense it's better than nuthin'.

Ok thanks... I'd personally just like to reach payout each month with Chitika... just coz I'd prefer to have another income stream started up that isn't Adsense. Thinking maybe I might do a second account at some stage and put Chitika on that.

No need to set up ad units in Chitika. Just assign any name for custom tracking into the channel field we provide. I also added a link to a video tutorial which explains how channels are getting tracked.
At this time, authors can only set up either one for the entire account.
