Crediting a photo in the text module

Hi Everyone,

About to nervously push the PUBLISH button for my first wizzle. But before I do that...

I have used some pictures in the text modules for which I want to credit the photographer.

A couple of questions:

1) I highlighted the picture and inserted a link URL to the photogapher's website. Also inserted the text "photo credit: diana adams."  The image is now clickable but the text does not show. In fact, when I get back into the edit mode, the text is gone. I removed non-alphabet characters and tried again but the same thing happened. Could this be a bug?

(By the way, is this the right way to credit a photo?)

2) If I use the above method, is the link DoFollow? (After my first 5 articles, of course. :)) I don't want to use up all the juice on images if there is a limit to the number of links, which I think there is.

Thank you!
Bhavesh.

Make sure you have the permission of the photographer. Simply linking out to someone's website does not give you the rights to use their images.

I could help you better if you either publish your page or give me the link to your draft. Then I can take a look.

I assume it will be a follow link, but we can check on it again once we get there (after 5 approved articles).

chefkeem,

I have the permission of the photographer.

The draft is at (copied and pasted link from edit mode): http://wizzley.com/pages/edit/3751/

The published link (not published yet) would be: http://wizzley.com/high-performing-organization/

Thanks!

Bhavesh.

I just inserted an image credit next to the chess picture...the way I would handle this.

But why do you link out to an irrelevant wedding site? Just for that image?

You can get free images from our site pixabay, com where you don't need to link back at all. Just use the pictures anyway you want them, even for commercial purposes.

Great point! Why didn't I think of that myself? She is a friend and a client and I like to promote her work. But I never thought about the relevancy issue.

I went with iStockphoto images for now as I am already quite familiar with them.

Thanks again!
