Discrepancy between Wizzley impressions vs AdSense impressions

Wizzley shows me I'm getting a certain number of impressions, but AdSense is counting about 25% of them. The split is supposed to be 50/50...is this just a discrepancy between how the two different sites count page impressions? Anyone else have any experience with this?

Trying to estimate where I might be 6 or 12 months from now, etc.

There could be several reasons for this.

1. People who visit your Wizz use some kind of Ad blocking browser plug-in (I guess most of Wizzley authors do so in order to avoid accidental clicks on their own ads)

2. AdSense decides to not show any ad due to the IP of the visitor or some reason known only to Google (it happens).

Your best view counter is not AdSense report but Google Analytics. If Analytics shows number of page views you expect, then everything is OK.

Still the same problem. Analytics shows the same numbers as AdSense. Also, 85% of the traffic is from search engines, so they're not likely authors that are blocking the ads, and certainly not enough to get it to that degree.

Have you not had this problem? Wizzley page impressions correlate appropriately (the 50/50 or 60/40 split, depending on how many articles you have)? Am I the only one?

Here is Simon's answer (scroll down) in another thread on this topic:

Alright, that's making more sense. Good to know.
