Hi all, I'm working on my wizzography and when I went to publish it I got a duplicate content warning. I didn't copy anything from anywhere...I can't guarantee that I didn't repeat something about myself, but didn't do any direct copying at all. Should I just go ahead and publish? I don't know how to figure out what might be duplicate. Thanks bunches!

I thank you...I'll do that later today. I may rework part of it, as it is only natural to write similar things about yourself from site to site, and I have done that in several places, so that may be what the duplicate checker is picking up...we'll see. I do want to say that one of the features I love about Wizzley is the fact that it tells you when there may be duplicate content, it's so important to avoid that. this is good to know. thank you both! indeed, when we write from our personal experience on many different sites, it's easy to repeat phrases. esp if we write like we talk! lol Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

Exactly, Joan. The filters may pick up a sentence or two from your other writings. However, we run every article through copyscape and Google in order to determine the percentage of duplicate content. Depending on the length of your article, sometimes even a short paragraph can be allowed. As long as you don't intentionally copy whole sections from other sites, you're probably okay. Okay, I reworked a few things that sounded, as joan said, like thngs I'd say over and over, and am so happy to say that when published, it didn't give me a warning...I love that feature!
