Perhaps it's just me, but about half the time when I search for Zazzle products, I find the right product, but when I save the module, the name of the product appears in German. It doesn't particularly bother me, but it might be confusing for readers who don't speak German.

It just started happening to me as well. Perhaps Simon can tell us what's going on. |

I couldn't see it so far in my tests ... Probably yet another Zazzle glitch. |

Simon, here is the page I was just working on. The bottom three products are in German. https://wizzley.com/country-bridal-shower-invitations-with-cowboy-boots/ |

It looks like Zazzle is doing some form of language detecting. Good job, Zazzle! Unfortunately, there's no documentation on how to set the language. So, at this point there's nothing we can do. However, you can complain at Zazzle directly. In my opinion - as a web developer - they have well deserved a lot of complaining. |

That's the URL for fetching data on your product: http://www.zazzle.com/svc/getlinkdialoginfo?pd=161923176518447326 Depending on browser and IP address, it sometimes returns German results. Utterly nonsensical. |

That is totally bizarre. I will attempt to find the person to complain to. Thank you Simon. |

When I pull in Zazzle products for my own sites, everything is fine. So I don't think it's my IP address. Simon do you think it could be the European versions of Wizzley that are confusing things? I know next to nothing about how all this works, so I could be way out in left field. Don't mean to be insulting. |

Hmmmm. It gets curiouser. When I do a keyword search to fill a Zazzle capsule it gives me the American listing, using the item number still returns the German version. I hope they answer, as I am out of ideas. |

So here's my workaround. I find the product that I want to include and then I use the keyword search options. To get the specific product I want I use the title of the product. However, if it has a dimension such as 5" x 7", I have found I have to take that portion out. |

That's basically what I found, too. The item number search is done via the given URL above. Depending on ??? it returns German or English results. Keyword search is done with a different URL, which doesn't seem to be affected by this problem. Unfortunately, keyword search doesn't accept an item number ... it simply returns no hits in that case. |

Great minds think alike, Simon. I tried searching for the product number as well. I guess if we want to promote our own products, we will have to make sure that they have unique titles. I had to resort to using titles plus tags for some of the bridal shower invitations I just added. |

Simon I have heard back from Zazzle. They don't seem to get our capsule method. This is what they suggested.

Zazzle's answer is not helping at all. They don't seem to really have grasped the problem. Their API returns German descriptions, which is the main problem ... Such answers are what I already experienced from Zazzle, which is why I'm not that motivated to get in contact with them. |

Simon I understand. I don't understand why it's only affecting Wizzley. I don't have this problem on my own sites. I am going to my sister's house tomorrow and I'm going to see if Zazzle still thinks I need German. I will also continue to work with Zazzle, to see if I can make them get it. |

I believe we have two slightly uncommon problems at once: Our servers are working on a German IP address, which in the case of IP-based language detection results in German results. And additionally, we're using an undocumented URL for retrieving Zazzle products based on an item number. Unfortunately, Zazzle doesn't provide an official way of doing this. That's why keyword search is working properly here, while item number search doesn't. So, for the time being, it' probably best to only use keyword search ... When we see a way to fix it on our part, we'll do so, of course. |

Thank you Simon! I was just getting frustrated with all these German versions of my Zazzle items! |
