When I searched for one of my Wizzley pages on google I noticed that the blurb they put under the link is not what I've written in my description field. It's the beginning of the first text module.

Is that how you intended it?

Should I repeat my description in the text module if that's what I want people to see in Google?

Good news: When I searched with my kewords in quotes I was on page 1 out of 83,900 results. When I searched without quotes I was on page 2 out of 3,880,000 results.  :)

Normally, the description shows in Google SERPs. That's the intention.

Did you publish your article first without a description and added it later? Google might have indexed you too quickly.

Can you give us a link to your article?

Congrats on your great results!

I had the description there before the text module.

http://wizzley.com/peacock-costumes/

"Peacock Costumes" was the search

Could it be that Google thought that your description is too short ? It does look more like a title than a description. Maybe Google wanted to offer the searchers more relevant info and tried to pick it from your content.

I would write a "real" description and then wait for Google to cache your new version.
