Having Trouble Adding Some Links to Link Module

Tried adding two urls to the link module and wouldn't let me on this article (still in draft)  Writing to Your Target Market | Defining Your Target Audience

Ok, I've tried the links. The lens doesn't appear to exist.

I've copied the xobba link into my browser bar, went to the site, copied the URL and pasted it into a link module. That worked. Why? No clue.
