How to Adsense Help

A few people have been asking for help understanding adsense.  I just finished a page to help explain this.  Hope this will help.

Paula, I tried to follow what you instructed.  I really did.  and I added a channel for Wizzley and I got a number.

but when I try to put that number into my wizzley settings, it does not take it.  I get a message as if it is not enough numbers or something. 

help?  again?    thanks!

Try typing in the number instead of cut and paste.  I think I heard someone say that they had a problem with that.

I did type it in.  do i need to add the pub before it?  or am i looking at the wrong number?

The pub- number is your account number.  The channel number is in the column next to the channel name on Adsense if you have a custom channel.  If you have a url channel, you do not need to enter the number on Wizzley, it will still show you the earnings separately.

I was on the new interface and got lost so switched back to the old one.  What do I put for Wizzley....exactly what do I put ;)

Kathy, you need to go into Adsense Setup>Channels>+Add New Custom Channel>Type in Wizzley.com and ok>Take the number from the list that appears and put it in your affiliate channel section here at Wizzley.

Lakeerieartists - thank you for a great article, I use mostly URL channels so was a bit confused by the idea of a channel number. Would be great if the staff added an easy learning note to the channel number area such as "Create a Custom Channel (NOT an URL channel) for Wizzley and use the number that will be listed beside it."

Paula - is this something you want to explain more in your article, since it is now our official tutorial for all things AdSense?

Good idea, chefkeem, I had to scroll down a way to figure out where to get the channel number. :)

Okay, didn't know it was official.  However, I will also add something about url channels for individual articles if they choose.  :)

I have updated the information about the custom channels.  Let me know if that needs any more changes.  :)
