My overall stats has been stuck on the same number all day; plus the page count isn't updating.

Ok, it might be that no-one is looking at my stuff. >.>

Good to know I am not the only one.  Mine is stuck as well, so probably it is just a glitch.

Or you broke it with all of your traffic. :p

I'm still ridiculously impressed by your achievements. Well done. <3

Thanks Jo.  But I already informed chef yesterday to get some super computers in place.  So not my fault if that is all the case.

My working theory is that the stat counters are taking a break and reading your awesome featured articles.  You do know that you are ruling the homepage of Wizzley?  4 of the 6 featured articles are yours.

Then it's Chef's fault!

Really? *runs to the homepage to see*  Oops!  *grin*  That is pretty much owning the front page right now, isn't it?  Sorry all!

Better have a tea break.

Indeed - our internal stat counters take a little break due to our current maintenance work.

However, everything works fine according to Google Analytics Real Time. So, no worry.  Smile

There's cool, thanks for the head's up. <3

When it's back, will it fill in the missing data or start from scratch?

I don't know, Jo. But Google Analytics is always the most reliable source of information.

Thanks for the update!  I suspected as much, but it's good to get it confirmed!

I'm not at all sure about Google Analytics.  It always seems to record only half of what Wizzley does. For example, one day I had over 550 hits here, but Analytics, for the same day, maintained I'd had 255.

Maybe I've somehow got it set up wrong.

Are you looking at unique or total visitors in GA, Jo?

It's whichever graph is on the front page, when you first open GA., under overview.

For the difference between GA and Wizzley's internal stats, we'll have to update our filters. During the past few months, some new aggressive automatic bots from Russia and China came up, which mess around with visitor detection. That'll be fixed probably tonight.

The internal counter was a glitch in our system, that didn't have any severe influence. The page views are counted correctly, so the rotation of AdSense- or Amazon-IDs is working perfectly. The internal unique visitor count is still low, but we're working on it.

So I really did get 255 hits that day, not over 550?

I think the only place you can see this is in your Analytics account, Jo.
