Keep Getting Logged Out

In the last few days, I've had to keep on logging in to Wizzley - not every single time I visit but definitely more than once per day. I'm not logging myself out and never had this issue before.

It's just done it again with Firefox but I've also had the problem with Safari on my ipad as well and I think on Chrome on my laptop too.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. I do prefer to stay logged in seeing as I'm the only one to use the devices I'm logging in with. Thanks.

I am sorry to tell you I do not know why is this happening, but would like to inform you it happened to me in recent days, as well.

Hopefully someone will explain?

P. S. I am using Google Chrome.

Maybe some site work, there is a lot of maintenance and improvements constantly in the works.  Just a wild stab at a guess.

I don't know if this is what you mean, but I've always had to log back in, after I've closed and then restarted the browser.

No, it can be mid-article sometimes. You save a module and suddenly BAM Wizzley is down for maintenance.

Then you refresh the page and it's back.  It's only for seconds each time, but it has happened a lot over the past couple of days.

I'm on Firefox too.

Oh. I'm on Wizzley all day long, but I haven't noticed anything.

However, I'll bring it up in our team conference tomorrow.

Are you saying that you get logged out during those few seconds?

No, sorry, I misread the original post.  I get the Wizzley in maintenance page, then refresh and it's all back.  It will have always saved my work.

I always have to log in again, if I close Wizzley.  I just thought it was set up that way.

Do you check the box where it says: "Stay logged in"?

Odd. Maybe it is because of maintenance. But up until the last few days I've just stayed logged into Wizzley and closing and restarting a browser hasn't made any difference to that.

The last time I had to log in was yesterday evening so maybe it's fixed itself!

I have had the exact same thing happen just in the last few days (and again just now).  I usually do check the "stay logged in" box.  I just thought it was an issue with my browser - it didn't occur to me that it might be a wider problem.

Hey guys,

the "maintenance problem" is probably due to a bigger update on our backend. When doing that, there are usually some smaller bugs here and there that are fixed within the first days after the update. By the way, one of the new things: you can now rate recipe modules, and by that, rating stars are depicted inside Google SERPs.

With this update, we switched to cookie based sessions: Until now, the "Remember me" option was saved in our database, but now it's saved as encoded cookie inside the client's browser. I'm about 99.9% sure that the recent login/logout issue is related to that. I couldn't notice this problem on my system/s so far, so it's a bit hard to debug. Therefor, any information you can give is helpful. Possibly it has something to do with the cookie settings of your browser/s - maybe a limited life time of cookies or something ...

Anyway: sorry for the inconvenience! If we can't solve the issue soon, we'll switch back to the non-cookie based sessions.

Hmm, if you have problems with the "Remember me" option, could you try erasing all cookies in your browser and see, if the logout-issue is still there? As a note: if you remove/delete all cookies from your browser, you'll be logged out from *all* websites you've logged into recently!

Thank you. Just to say that I've stayed logged in all day today on all the main browsers so seems to be fixed for me :)
