I have set up adsense on other revenue sharing sites without difficulty and the set-up on Wizzley was perfectly straightforward - adding my pub- number and analytics number in the settings section.
I have set up Wizzley in both my adsense account as a new channel, and analytics account. I know my analytics account is working as it shows various criteria numbers for my Wizzley account. I have linked my adsense to analytics for Wizzley (correctly, as it shows the adsense header within the Contents section).
From the Content Overview section I see 233 pageviews (since linking the account) with 166 unique pageviews (so I know the analytics are linked and working). The site content pages are also showing results for each of the pages I have created at Wizzley.
However, there is no data for adsense: no page impressions, no ads viewed etc etc.
I can only surmise that the analytics code is being included in page HTML code but my Google adsense code has never been included on any page, ever. I have checked that the code is correct on Wizzley - twice.
I have checked the 'view page source' for my pub- number but, as yet, not seen it incorporated in any wizz page code (although this may be due to me looking at my pages - if that has an effect as to whether my pub- number is incorporated).
Can anyone see a flaw in what I have done?
Assistance will be gratefully received.

I just checked the code of your pages. Your pub-ID is displayed correctly. But apparently, you have not set up a separate tracking channel for Wizzley inside your Adsense account.
This means that you will still get credit for your clicks, but you will not be able to see any specific data unless you set up a tracking channel. Wizzley provides a field in your Settings for this channel.
There are several helpful tutorials on Wizzley which explain how to do this. Here is an example: http://wizzley.com/how-to-google-adsense/

Thanks nightowl - that seems to be my problem. I had noticed the field to enter a custom channel but had not realised that it was compulsory to obtain the analytics details I receive from other sites without utilising this channel. All others I set up using just URL channels.
Plus I use the new adsense/analytics interface which works differently to the old one, which is described by the link you gave me.
Anyway, I have finally figured out how to create the URL channel, and I have entered the appropriate number into the Wizzley channel field. Hopefully, that will close this requirement for assistance.
Until the next time, thanks again

Humagaia. Are you now seeing data? I too did not realize you need to have the customized channel. It's worded as if it's a "nice to have". Plus do you not start seeing any data until you have at least two pages? I see on Wizzley that in a couple of days I've already got 500 page views but nothing is being shown in Google Adsense when I noticed this notice in Wizzley "Register as an affiliate only if you have created at least two pages on Wizzley.com - otherwise your application may be rejected."
I'm kind of bummed because I've got these nice page views and a handful of click throughs but don't know if it's going to count for anything pro-rated if I haven't set anything up correctly. It's been over 4 years since I started Squidoo. It's hard starting all over on a new site.

Adrienne - I know how you feel, it seems like a different set-up procedure every time you arrive at somewhere new. I managed to configure Adsense for Wizzley such that I see all the data I require in 'sites'. However, the analytics set up seems to be a bit awry as I do not see specifics for individual articles for Adsense. It may be that I am using the new analytics interface. I am not too bothered as I am getting just as much information as I can cope with at the moment. Perhaps when I am a little more settled and have the time to get it sorted, I will fathom it out.
Your post seemed to suggest that you did not have adsense yet. But you have been at Squidoo, so I think you must have. The two days is to do with those that are just registering with Adsense I believe. There is a hangover period whilst G gets its act together, but this should not affect the stats that you are seeing.
Just like at squidoo when you first started there, it will most likely take a bit of time before you see adsense revenue. On the other hand there are other excellent earning opportunities at Wizzley, such as the affiliate programs like Amazon, Zazzle and now VigLink. You should check out how these are, or are intended, to be used.
Good luck with your new Wizzley experience. I have found it to be most enjoyable.

Adrienne - check out nightowl's post above.
If you have an Adsense account, and if you have entered your pub-ID in your personal settings, and if you've had clicks...your Adsense earnings have already begun.
A custom Analytics channel has nothing to do with your earnings. It only gives you more in-depth info on your traffic. That's why it's "nice to have".

Thanks Chef & Humagaia. I had a Google Ad Sense account set-up from ages back. I had some Google ads running on my blog but over the years it's only made $10 total. So I've never done a lot with it.
I just posted my new Wizzley page on Saturday so maybe it takes a few days before I see anything exciting? I'll definitely hang in there.
And by the way, Chef, I was pleased and surprised at how quickly my article indexed on Google and appears on the first page of results already. I think I just posted Saturday and boom it's got all these page views.
Congrats on your "new"-ish endeavour. Can't wait to be a part of this community as well.

Adrienne - I remember you well from our early Squidoo days, and I'm so happy that now you ARE part of our Wizzley community. A hearty "Welcome" to you!
Google loves Wizzley. In general, our articles get indexed very quickly. However, be aware that your first 5 articles must be approved before they can get indexed. So, in the beginning it may take a bit longer. Once you are a "trusted user" (after 5 approved articles), your pages may be indexed within an hour or two. A little social bookmarking helps speeding up that process.

OK. I see part of the issue why I'm not seeing corresponding Google clicks. Aaaaaaah, the "Analytics" on Wizzly are referring to click throughs on Amazon items they are not necessarily click throughs on Google. Is that right?

I hope I can just hop in here with my statistics porblem...
My Wizzley stats are looking pretty good -- 1500+ page impressions since I've started with 800+ unique visitors.
However my Adsense channel is only showing 230 all time views.
Cal me greedy, but I'm worried that I'm not getting all my ad shares. Thoughts?

In your AdSense account you'll see only your impressions. 50% of the time we show Wizzley's AdSense code. Our system works correctly.

Hey Chef, thanks for the response!
So help me with my math. If I've had 1500 impressions on Wizzley, my Adsense should show around 700-ish, right? What am I missing?
Or, if we count unique views only, that would be 400-ish.
I'm sure I'm missing something. Just can't seem to find it.

The analytics page on Wizzley does not show you information related to Adsense, and I personally find it very hard to decipher. Your best bet is to rely on Adsense, and Google Analytics for that type of info. Google Analytics will break down your traffic stats by page.

Yes, that's the best way to go when comparing data: stick with Analytics and connect it with your AdSense account. It will give you all details :)
Doing web analytics is quite difficult and in all cases more or less inaccurate. Mainly, one has to distinguish between bots (automatic scripts) and real users when counting visitors. For example, Analytics shows quite different numbers than Alexa or Quantcast ... or Wizzley, that is. However, Google Analytics or Quantcast are really sophisticated systems, concentrating only on web statistics, whereas our tool simply gives you a good hint on which articles are performing well and which could use some improvement.
To explain a bit more in detail the difference in views in your case: Wizzley is not able to filter as many bots as Analytics. Secondly and just as important, AdSense tends to show dramatically lower numbers than Analytics in general. Usage of ad blockers is supposed to be the main cause of that, but I think there are other factors involved, that I don't know of.
Best, Simon

Anyone have a response on why my adsense account is showing 1/7th the impressions of Wizzley's instead of 1/2 ?

Hi sciencestudent,
please see my answer two posts above. You *absolutely can't* compare our Wizzley internal visitor count with AdSense impressions. If you are not using Google Analytics already, go ahead - it's really simple and it's free. Connecting Analytics with AdSense is almost automatically done - Google will suggest it to you.
Has anyone else a comparison between Wizzley internal stats and AdSense impressions? Just out of curiosity: maybe 1/7 : 1/2 is the "normal" ratio of those two values ...
