Pinterest Does Not See the Thumbnail Images?

Am I the only one having this problem? I tried to pin some wizzles today to Pinterest - that have been around for some time - and it does not see the thumbnail image. When the wizzle has other images, even in allposters and amazon modules, it shows those images but not the thumbnail image.

I tried both Firefox and Chrome. With chrome, it says "no large images found" which firefox does not.

In the past, I have had this issue with Facebook but it has fixed itself! I never recall having this issue with Linkedin but I may be mistaken.

Do I need to do anything special like clear the cache or something?

Thanks!

Bhavesh - Pinterest does not recognize thumbnails because they're too small. If there are no suitable images on a page, it can't be pinned.

Thanks Chef, that makes sense.

So would it be true that a if I used a large image as thumbnail, it would be shrunk to a smaller size? (I think some programs keep the original properties of an image even if it's shown in a shrunk size.)

In the past, I have gotten around the issue by including the thumbnail image in the body of the article.

Don't forget: Pinterest is not just a regular bookmarking site - it's all about images. Any old thumbnail (for thumbnail's sake) won't get many clicks or re-pins.

If you want to get traffic through Pinterest, make sure you have an exciting image for your article.

I read somewhere than another writer lost their Amazon associate account because when they pinned their articles to Pinterest, it was because of Amazon products showing as part of the pin.

I am finding that it is the products that appear when I go to pin from here.  I usually choose a thumbnail that is relevant.  I have even tried to put an image after summary, but it does not help.  I click to pin and it is Amazon products that appear.

I don't know of any other way to pin articles.
