Pinterest

Pinterest is really big right now and it does drive traffic. Is there any way to really ramp up our Pinterest pinnings? I'd be happy to pin a lot of articles is people pin mine from time to time. Would anyone be interested in starting a little Pinterest group?

I was thinking about Pinterest, too. Maybe we should do a Wizzley account, if there isn't one already, and then boards for different categories.

Then, of course, we could all help each other by pinning onto our own accounts as well.

We do have a Pinterest account - http://www.pinterest.com/wizzley/ - and we've enabled a few of our members to post on their favorite boards. After the initial excitement, however, everyone stopped posting.

As it is the case with many other concepts out there - there is no easy way to get lots of quality traffic. Simply posting all our articles is not very effective. 

We think it's better if authors create their own P-accounts, and then spend the necessary time it takes to create pins that stick out of the masses.

I have a Wizzley How To board where I add pins from here with yes, "how to" info.

Occasionally, as I come across pages here I add them to my board and I've had a number of them re-pinned.  I think it's like everything else, not enough time in the day!!!  But I do try to do something at Pinterest every day.  It is a great place to be found.

I think that may be your best bet.  Start your own board on a subject.

If anyone has a good "how to" page I'd be glad to pin it.

It is good to have your own boards and your own followers. I will try to pin people's articles where they fit, which is pretty board because I also started a Wizzley Writing Board under my boards.

I will also try to pin more of other people's articles. I don't get on Pinterest very often (only when I write a new article), but when I do make it there, I'll post other stuff from Wizzley as well.

I dont know how to make a group board on pinterest, i know you can add the name of the person whom you want to pin to a board or invite by mail, but if want hundreds of people to join then what should be done?

I don't know either. Someone else made one but people could only join with Facebook.

I have Group Boards on Pinterest and I am more than happy to invite those who would like to share pins.
