Questions on Wizzley format

I haven't been here for awhile so I wondered if there were any major changes since the last time I created an article which is probably a good year ago? I've been clicking through to see what's up. 

I noticed there's a big list of ads right under the title and opening paragraph. Is that normal now?

Then there's some funny boxes with white background and arrows that are clearly ads but they are large. Is that normal? I have adsense on and don't know much about Chitka. Looks like you choose? 

They just look odd and seem to stick way out and disrupt the flow. 

Just trying to figure things out. (Does Wizzley do a related posts now that we can submit our own lnks?)

Hi Vikk, many new things are implemented all the time.

I'll try to list some of them, based on your own observations:

1. Now the text at the top -- under the title and subtitle -- wraps around the Google ads if it's longer, reaching below that square of ads.

2. You can choose between Google ads and Chitika. Chitika ads display differently, from what I see on Jo's pages: first the ads, then the first block of text. Chitika also displays a pop-up in the bottom right corner of the screen.

3. Now we have all kinds of background (and text) colors and patterns for our pages. You can choose from Scheme.

4. We can also choose which pages to display in the sidebar. Those also show right after the article, as links-only.

These are the main changes. Maybe other Wizzleyans can pitch in as well.

Thanks. Apparently I've got a lot to figure out. Last year was a bad health year for my mom starting in late January and it really messed me up as far as getting much online work done. I'm trying to gather my threads...yet again. (I am primary caregiver for my 97 year old mom.) 

Wow, that's difficult. But I take it she's better now :)

I just created a new page and published it. 

Is there any control on the size of the ad that appears on the right? It just looks weird. 

And I looked around but didn't see where you would control what appears in the links below or in other pages featured. 

I guess I did this right. :)

Yes, so far. Thanks for asking. She had a recurring infection that through her into bouts of delerium. The antibiotics would control it but it would pop up again and again and again. It's finally gone, I think. :)

You won't have control over the ad - Google has. And we, to a certain extent.

But you can determine what other articles appear in the side bar. In edit mode, click through the different tabs on the right, where you can pick the background scheme and color, fonts, links etc.
