I checked my Amazon account for Wizzley and it shows 0 "product link clicks" this month -- and yet I have some "other clicks." How can this be? On my other site I have various types of links, but here I have only product links. So what's happening? How can I have zero product link clicks along with other clicks?

I don't understand the question, Mira. Perhaps someone else? Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.

The only way people can get on Amazon through my Wizzley pages is by clicking on a product link. Right? There are no banners, no general Amazon links on Wizzley, but specific product links. OK. People click on such a link and then they wander off on Amazon clicking on other links. So the only way for them to click on other links and still appear in the stats for my Amazon associates account under the Tracking ID I set up for Wizzley . . . is to click on one of the product links I have posted in my pages in the first place. Still, my associates stats on Amazon for the tracking ID I set up for Wizzley show zero "product link clicks" for the month of May so far. Which can happen. But then I also have a number of "other clicks." How come those "other clicks" were linked to my Amazon Associates account under my Wizzley Tracking ID when there is no single product link click that would have taken visitors to them? |

I just looked at the Glossary (link in the left side bar on your Amazon account page) and couldn't figure it out, either. Anyone smarter than I? (Hey, wait ... not so many! We need only 2 or 3 people!) Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.

I think that only those product links you create yourself will show as "product links". Whatever clicks are generated through our widgets use the Product Advertising API. They will show under the link type report as "REST". SEO Praxis: Specializing in WordPress Hosting and Small Business Web Design.

When you say widgets, are you referring to carousel (or mp3) widgets? I never used those. I used only links to individual products by entering product numbers. But you're right, I HAVE used "search products" sometimes when I placed my products. So maybe those are the ones that don't show up? Thank you both! |

I was actually referring our modules, not widgets in the Amazon sense. Sorry. SEO Praxis: Specializing in WordPress Hosting and Small Business Web Design.

I thought you meant the side bar widgets.

:) So then all the clicks through the links built up with the Amazon module won't show up on the Amazon associates account? I wouldn't mind, because I can get an idea of how my links are doing by looking at stats here on Wizzley. P.S. Wait, there IS a place where I can find them on Amazon? Oh, I see. You're probably saying that they're under "Other Clicks." So then Other Clicks would show both whatever visitors click on once they get on Amazon AND clicks on specific products on my Wizzley pages. |

Sheesh. I wish I had the faintest clue what this was all about. Widgets? Product API? My lack of understanding is exceeded only by my puzzlement. This may explain why Mr. Amazon has a big, fat zero in my account. |

You are all so entertaining! And reading these goings on about statistics is a great way to learn a thing or two. Read one of my books Sheila's Books
