I really enjoyed this article:

How to Write Great Love Letters

It is great to be reminded of expressions of love that aren't about buying.

Yes it is a good article. I'm a bit 'old-school' and I love writing letters. I still write Christmas and Birthday thank yous by hand and I always have a good stock of pretty notelets and writing paper.

If I want to send a really special letter, I'll take the time to craft a handmade card. People really do appreciate these things. In a world of fast everything, it means a lot to be given something where time and thought has clearly been put into it.

Love the idea of including some pretty confetti although it's a good idea to warn the recipient to open the letter on a tray because we had this one year and the small confetti tipped out all over a deep plush carpet and, though the thought was appreciated, it took a long time to get it all out!
