Kathleen Duffy wrote a wonderful article about the artist Suzanne Valadon a while ago. I discovered it today. It was such a great read! She has included some wonderful paintings, and bits of info connecting her to nineteenth-century and early-twentieth-century art and artists, like Toulouse-Lautrec and Degas, for which she modelled, Manet, which started a tradition of controversial odalisques, and Maurice Utrillo, her son.

I think it deserves an Editor's Choice Award!
