Greetings fellow Wizzers Wizards Authors,

I just wanted to pop by and say hi to the forums, I'm brand new here to Wizzley and looking forward to getting started. I've been poking around for a few days and it looks like a really great site with a wonderful community; I see a lot of familiar faces here already.

Welcome Love the name! Perhaps you could clear something up for me. I can't for the life of me get a clear definition/understanding of the word pragmatic/pragmatist... care to enlighten me :)?

Pragmatic is analogous to practical, but it usually relates to experience. For example:

If you had six kids, you would buy a minivan rather than a sports car,  because you know it would be more practical

However, if you had owned a minivan before, and knew that it can be a pain to get car seats in and out of, then you might be more pragmatic and get an SUV instead.

Pragmatic is always practical; practical isn't always pragmatic.

Thanks for the welcome Cool

You just made 6 years of frustration disappear my friend. Try as I might to get anyone to give me an explanation that perfect I couldn't- thank you. It all started with a deck of Tarot cards and the one with the pragmatic figure on it kept coming up. I knew what it meant by the other cards and how it related but when heard elsewhere I couldn't define it... just one of those terms you understand but can't define... Welcome aboard, I can already tell your going bring a lot to the table here :)
