Dear Wizzleyans,
we have removed the 'Table-of-Content' module because, most of the time, it contributed to severe keyword stuffing issues. Google's Matt Cutts said about keywords and key phrases: "7-8 times looks spammy. 1-3 times is plenty." Some articles had 7-8 keywords in the TOC module alone!
We hope you agree with our move.
Bear hugs,
Achim (chefkeem)

I've never had a clue what "key word stuffing" is, which probably accounts for my dismal earnings.

Don't worry, Rupert. Only people who know what keyword stuffing is commit keyword stuffing.
It's an old way of trying to manipulate Google rankings. For instance, if you write about obese hamsters (your keyword), and you use 'obese hamsters' in every paragraph and module title of your page, in order to tell search engines that your page is about obese hamsters, then your article is probably no fun to read. It appears to be written solely for the search robots, not for people.
Since most people still place their keywords into their module titles, and since those titles are shown (without any other text) in the Table of Contents, it is an unnecessary repetition of keywords and -phrases.

I gave up on keywords. I find it too time consuming. I just write and don't worry about keywords.

Hi keem, I just tried to publish an article, but couldn't because it said I needed a text or photo module to start, not a content module. But the content module is gone. Do you think there's a bug in the system?

I tried once again, and I had to move the photo I had down in the copy and it worked. Yeah.

Thanks Chef. Another mystery of the Google algo explained.

Nobody complains when the removal / improvement actually makes things run better.
That's one less module I need to worry about. Check! X that box off!
Bear hugs back at ya!

Damn I worked hard on not stuffing the content module with too many keywords. Thanks for saving me from myself.
Best wishes to all. teddletonmr

Rest in pieces TOC module. It was an infernal ook to keep it current anyway, so thank you muchly for removing it.
Favor? You bet!
Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.

It's way too early and before serious tea drinking for proper thought here, but I'm a little perturbed. Just about all of my Wizzles started with the TOC, then had a large Amazon sales module. Now that the TOCs have been removed, that means all of mine begin with sales.
As long as no-one expects me to go through over 500 articles because Google wants me to, and I'll be able to edit those articles as needful without being forced to change things, I'm good.

Don't worry, Jo. Your intro text is always interesting, so you have enough useful content 'above the fold'.

I wondered why there were some big empty spaces in some of my articles. Now I know why!
I definitely now have some products at the top due to the deleted TOC but after doing a mega marathon of updating my pages for the last 2 days, I don't fancy going back in again for another round just yet. But I will remember that for my next set of updates.

Well, this just shows how blind I am! I knew something was different but hadn't figured it out. Now I know. Thanks for the improvement!
Yes, it's easier without the TOC that needed updating. The only issue is having enough text before the first sales module. I guess I'm good so far though!
