Are we just "selling", or are we "providing a solution"?

I think these are good questions to ask ourselves, whenever we create a wizzle with ads.

  • Have we identified our readers' problems?
  • Do we provide a solution with our content and ads?
  • Or do we just write articles and then hope that our readers can use any of our advertised products?

More on this topic in this excellent post on Problogger.

I saw this post and liked it too, Chef. I think that writing to solve a problem leads your reader to thank you rather than feel used.

Absolutely, Jimmie. I often find myself so wrapped up in my article topic--what *I* want to write about--that I forget about the actual needs of my potential readers.

Really good article. Paula and AJ taught me this early on. I *try* to make sure I am answering a question or helping to solve a problem when I write. Works most of the time... but I can get caught up and lose sight of that at times too.

Thanks for the link Chef.
