This is just a quick idea that popped into my head this morning:
Check with your friends or neighbors if they own and use a favorite kitchen or household product, and if they're willing to let you take pictures and interview them about it.
That way you'll get free images and first-hand, authentic, authoritative content, quickly and easily.
You could do the same thing with recipes, books, travel and exercise equipment, and whatever stuff you discover in your friends' lives.
Whatcha think?

Here is one good trick, useful to everybody who is doing a review about technical items like washers, cameras, mobiles, gadgets... Of course you can read reviews of other people, you can ask around, ask in a store etc., but if you really want to add something special, you can call a warranty service where this specific item comes when something goes wrong.
You have good chance to discover some unexpected errors or interesting comparisons between different models from an expert who deals with this stuff on every day basis. From my experience they can be surprisingly sincere and even funny. One minute call can really turn out as great investment.
About photos: this can be iffy if the logo or any other copyrighted part is shown. In most cases it is not a problem, some countries have fair use policy, there are affiliate programs, etc., but sometimes... I like to be on the safe side:)

If only I had friends.... and neighbors.... this is brilliant, and maybe a good way to get to know your neighbors. "Hello, I write for Wizzley... may I please interview you?" Maybe I should make business cards.... hmmmmm

Exactly, Pam - a fringe benefit!
Some folks may be too shy, but others may even get interested in signing up on Wizzley themselves (put your referral link on that biz card!). You never know what happens once you start connecting with people.
