Pinterest links are no-follow, except...

Recently all of the links from Pinterest went no-follow, except those included in the description section of the pin. (I didn't even know that the links included in the description were clickable.) So when you pin, make sure you include the link of the article in the description so you get the do-follow juice for G's ranking.

Thanks Bhavesh, but anyway, links from Pinterest don't carry much link power anyway imho, but they are great for getting real eyeballs to your content. So I don't worry to much if they are do or nofollow as long as they bring interested visitors to my content -)

Good point, Sam. I thought I would bring this up as a major attraction for us online writers is the do-follow. You are right, its real purpose is to bring clicks - like facebook, for example. Even their in-description links will probably turn no-follow eventually; it almost seems like an oversight on their part at this point.

I agree with Sam. Instead of plastering links into our descriptions (might look spammy), I'd focus on stunning images for re-pins and traffic.
