I don't know if it is just me getting old or if the reply box here on the forum is really to small. Especially when quoting somebody it drives me nuts that I have to scroll up and down the whole time because I can't make it bigger! Is there anything that I have overlooked what I could do? I am on Firefox if that helps ;-(

Hmm...although I normally use Chrome, I opened FF for this response, and it seems to work just fine.

Maybe you're too young for this whole internet thingy?

Oh...I just realized that the "scrolling" is the culprit. Hmm again...no one ever complained about this before.

Is anyone else bothered by this?

Initially, I misunderstood you, so I just wanted to test the box for longer quotes. No other meaning or something.  Smile

Lol, no it is the small space available for writing a reply when quoting that drives me around the bend, nothing else ;-)

Yeah, I got it now. (I think.) You mean, in the case of a real long quote, while writing your response, you'd have to scroll up to re-check on the quote's content, right?

Correct ;-)

What if---in the case of long quotes---you'd quote only the short, relevant section of the quote, instead of the whole thing?

I mean, how often does it really happen that you must quote a 5-inch post in its entirety, and then answer with another several inches of reply text?

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that this could "drive you nuts". Undecided

But if this shows to be a problem for other users as well, I might have to make my head a bit more pliable, I guess.

Lol, often people like to leave very long replies, so I quote them and try to edit it down to the relevant bits and try to answer each bit in return. It is this editing bit that gets to me ;-) But if it is only me, don't worry! I am just getting on a bit, but I can cope, there is worse out there!
