I don't know if many of you are star wars fans, I'm barely a fan, I love all the psychology (use the force and such) built in and intriguing props but the story is just too long to endure even a single episode for me lol.... I can't, however ignore the huge star wars market that's still thriving and getting amazing with these biofeedback toys etc...

At any rate, when I was 9 years old I created a prototype for a light saber using a telescoping (paper) rod on a flashlight, I was too dumb and out of the loop to realize my invention could have made me a lot of money and someone else soon came out with a working model (10 years later!)... I was stuck on how to make it telecope automatically not manually- boy did I miss the boat there.

I digress...

My reason for this post is to let you guys know that although the Star Wars Saga is 30 years old it's still VERY much a huge deal to millions of fans everywhere. Lately there has been a boom of star wars type toys that have magic like functions i.e. the new force glove, the biofeedback toy Mindflex, and they seem to be making a lot more in the pipeline...

This is a trend but I doubt it's going away so I'd consider it a timeless article concept to write about depending on what you write.

This BOOM in star wars lately has been growing. They have a game you can play online with others (star wars universe) and all the cool stuff coming out. I could keep this to my self but I want to help you guys with writers block...

You should create some star wars articles, lots of product opportunities there...

Christmas is coming and star wars is a great place to start for kids cool toys... same with halloween, star wars gear, getups, costumes... this is a product dream scape this star wars.... will you tap into it?

I'm talking products not articles about star wars saga... theres enough of that out there already..

Good Luck!

this post will self destruct in 30 seconds... Smiley

NICE Chef... haha

Apparently someone created a real light saber, it uses a spyder III visible laser and an attachment for "sabor"... the light isn't just in the base like a flashlight it's actually in the tube as a powerful (lethal even) laser light- if you swung that thing at something it'd cut it in half- not sure if that would break it though... article coming :)

 I'm barely a fan

Our friendship is over. Sorry.  :p

How can you not be a fan of Star Wars?

Actually I was only musing on this earlier.  There's an old open cast quarry over the road from us. It was working, when I was a kid.  All that piled dirt and desolation was basically Tattooine. Just add a large stick for a light sabre.

Us kids spent so much time being chased off by security guards!  Looking back now, I can see why.  At the time they were just spoil-sports, aka the spawn of the Death Star.

I was walking past it earlier, hence the musing.

Oh!  And Han shot first.

By barely I don't mean I don't like the series, but that I can barely get through an entire motion picture- I love innovation and if anything is innovative it's Star Wars (just look at the products you can write about!)... Star Trek pulled off a better "galaxy" of sagas, really sucked people into the story 360 but starwars seems to me to get a bit old with too much exposure, it seems to be a battle all the time where star trek was more patriotic on most planets, on SW most planets were war zones, hell they needed Jedi's to protect them like galactic military police (with cool sabers)...

Ah the argument could in and of itself become a wizzle, complete with star wars/star trek gadgets along the side... :)

I'm just dying to nerd out and attend one of those conventions where you can just be weird and cool all day and nobody will say anything :)

I just published my first Star Wars Product based page. This one is on the new real lasersaber device that mimics the star wars light saber pretty awesome stuff- I had to use mostly affiliate links to wicked lasers as there were no amazon products of this nature :)... I have a few more coming...
