It's really good and has plenty of amazing features, but is it meant for your home?

If at all these features are all you need, then you should definitely opt for this thermostat as there's no other one with such variance.

Automatic Switching - If your home needs both heating as well as cooling you would previously need to switch over manually. However, this programmable thermostat has the ability to switch over on its own.

Single and Multi Stage capabilities - This model is perfect for both, single as well ass Multi stage functioning. Both, heating and cooling and hence works well with all home.

Easy Programming - Initial programming as well as the changes you make later on (if necessary) are really easy and even if you've never handled a thermostat before, you would be able to do it easily; provided you know how to operate a touch screen device!

Reminders - You don't need to worry about running out of battery as it alerts you when the battery is running low. In addition to this the filters too are well maintained as you are alerted when they need cleaning.

Memory - In case of power outage you need not worry as the program isn't forgotten. Hence you wouldn't need to program it from scratch at every power failure.

Installation is a breeze - If you've installed a thermostat before, this isn't any different and you would be able to compelte it in a matter of minutes. However, if it's your first time, just follow the instructions in the manual and you're done.

7 day, 4 events programming - As already mentioned, it doesn't just provide you with a 7 day program, it's also got the capability to work differently based on 4 special events.

Great display - The back light display can be clearly read under any lighting conditions.

Does the RTH8500D model have everything you need?

Dealing with possible Problems

There's just one possible problem that the Honeywell RTH8500D thermostat could face:

But, mobiles are constantly in use and therefore, you shouldn't fiddle with the touch on this model a lot. Only use it when necessary, this would improve its overall lifetime.

Where can it be used?
