katiem2, Thank you for the mood-raising article and product line. Both books, especially the 20,000 tea secrets, look good. It really goes to show that we are what we drink and eat.

I have suffered from Depressive Anxiety and was astonished to discover from my doctor that Alcohol is massive depressant and indeed makes things worse. So many people have a drink to cheer them up and in fact, alcohol has the opposite effect.

The above ideas would do them more good.

TY for posting. Very informative and useful.

cazort, Indeed omega 3 fatty acids are amazing antidepressant food components

You might also want to include fatty fish, or other omega-3 rich foods on this list. I've read a lot that suggests that an Omega 3 fat deficiency can manifest as depressive symptoms, and these fats are healthy for a wide variety of other reasons too, like preventing heart disease. Outside of fatty fish, some good vegetable sources of Omega 3's include hemp seed oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and flax seeds. Leafy greens also have a little--not much total fat but if you eat lots of leafy greens it adds up.
