How Hard is Zumba?
DerdriuMarriner, Agreed, I love all of the above, and love dancing, this helps, if you like to dance you got a big head start.
katiem2, Anyone who understands moving to Latin music should be able to pick it up after not too much effort. I like the moves and the music -- it always makes me think of Brazil and Colombia -- even though I don't particularly care for the lunges and squats.
georgettejohn, All that matters is you got involved and moved. It doesn't matter if you move like a dancing star just that you move and burn that fat which it sounds like you did. :) Thanks for sharing your Zumba experience. It makes me smile when I do Zumba.
Zumba is awesome! I did it for a few months last winter and lost quite a bit of weight...It was so much fun but I spent 11 yrs as a drum corps majorette so my Zumba moves looked more like marching and without thinking I counted out the moves in my head. I am the first to admit, I didn't "feel" the music like everyone else in the group and sometimes they all moved quickly, with laughter, to get out of my way. I would HATE to see a video of myself doing it but then again, I would probably roll on the floor laughing too. Unfortunately, the instructor moved. Your article was great but...made me miss it!
Betty, I love Zumba! Hope you like it as much as I do. :)
I'm getting in on this trend. Zumba sounds lime a great option. I've gotten so outta shape this winter and
need to get in swimsuit shape.
Cindy, Zumba is GREAT!
I've always wondered about Zumba and you're right it's been around, stood the test of time and is still so popular. I see and hear about Zumba classes everywhere. I admit I thought it might be a passing fad but now no it is not. I'm going to get on the Zumba band wagon, you've sold me on it. You are the final straw.
Craig, Sure men enjoy Zumba in large numbers.
