Jinny Beyer is a pioneer in the world of quilting. She designs fabrics for the RJR fabric company, is a member of the Quilters Hall of Fame, has won numerous quilting awards in the industry, has authored many books, and lectures all over the world.
Jinny first began making quilts in 1972 while living in India. She loved to knit and when she ran out of yarn one day she decided to try a different craft. She was instantly hooked on quiltmaking and the rest is history.
Jinny Beyer was the first designer to create fabrics especially for quiltmaking. Her fabric designs reflect the deep rich colors found in Indian art. Her instantly recognizable style includes a wide array of patterns and prints. She typically introduces three collections of fabric every year. Each collection has distinctive color and pattern groups that coordinate perfectly in quiltmaking. Her specialty is creating border fabrics, and there is always at least one in every collection.
