Michaels has craft supplies galore. You can usually find what you're looking for for just about any craft project. But sometimes you need a few minutes of alone time to pick out just the right things.
Enter the Saturday craft kids club. For just $2 per child, kids can make a different craft each Saturday. Each session lasts 30 minutes, and usually there are four sessions each week to choose from. Times are usually 10 a.m. to noon.
UPDATE: Michael's is now offering kids crafts classes during the week this summer from June 17 to July 29, 2013, for 2 hours each class! See the section below for more information!
The photo shown here is of a necklace made from a craft kit with shrink art and felt. This type of craft is fun to make for kids 5 and up.
Will You Take Your Child to Michaels for Crafting?
What a great idea! I'll bet Michaels gets a lot more business by offering these crafting classes to kids. It's a great way to introduce kids to some new ideas and experiences.
Kids learning to craft is such an important part of their development and it's great to see them learning, interacting with others and having fun.
I love watching kids do crafts. They are so intent on getting it just right! This sounds like a great way for the kids to have some fun and learn something new while Mom gets some quality shopping time in.
I used to work at Michael's and enjoyed doing the kids activity days.
