KitchenAid 13-cup Food Processor Review
There are several very cool features that need to be mentioned:
- ExactSlice
This is a feature that sets the model apart. Most food processors are equipped with fixt-width blades for slicing. KitchenAid 13-cup comes with a new system, called "ExactSlice". This allows for adjusting the slices thickness via using a slicing lever. So you don't actually even need to open the bowl. Sweet!
- Versatility
You can pretty much process food in any way you want with this product. It has blades adapted for shredding and slicing, it has a dough blade and also a multi-purpose blade for each bowl size.
The two bowl sizes can accomodate any need. The 13-cup bowl is huge and is to be primarily used for the occasions in which you work with large quantities. Otherwise, the small 4-cup bowl is very handy when you just need to prepare something small.
- Dual Speeds
The product has a very smart way to manage processing speed. Dual speeds provides great flexibility. In the "Pulse" mode, if you just press gently, then you get a slow spin. However, holding the button down will unleash full power immediately.
- 3-In-1 Ultra Wide Mouth Feeder
This tube allows you to put in the larger fruits and veggies, while not losing too much time to prepare them. Just wash them and placed them into the feeder.
If you wonder about the cons, the KitchenAid bowl is quite light, and in case you need to slice the likes of hard cheese, the machine will vibrate. However, the lightness of the bowl also means that it is very easy to put it on and take it off. So most people don't have a problem with this.
