Positive Affirmations - A way of life
Using positive affirmations is a way to help create that which one desires. A positive affirmation is meant to feel good. Writing, reading, singing them helps to reinforce them.
I choose to use Positive Affirmations
"Feeling good, feeling great; what can I appreciate?" is one of the sayings I came up with to improve how I may be feeling. Very seldom, if at all, do I express how I might be feeling at the time if it's less than I'd like.
I know now, that for me, positive affirmations are the way to go. I affirm a positive affirmation and it sets me on the right track to feeling better, and/or to achieving my goals.

What is an affirmation?
What do you mean by positive affirmation?
An affirmation is anything that someone affirms. It can be positive or not. Positive affirmations are things that one desires, a do want, so it is positive.
How do you make an affirmation?
First off, you start with a desire. Then you word it in present tense, making it as believable as possible, and keep it short and sweet.
A desire is usually born out of something that wasn't desired. So you take that thing, whatever it is, and reword it into something you would like.
If it doesn't sound believable to you, then prhase it so that it does.
For instance, I am rich. If that doesn't sound believable, then you can rephrase it to say, I am ready to be rich. Then you might add some supporting details, such as; Money is good. I am good with money. It's okay to have money. It's okay to be rich.
That is just one example, but that should give you the gist of creating positive affirmations.
I've been using affirmations for years now. When one begins to realize the power of their words and their beliefs, one becomes very selective in their wording. I am much better at this word selecting thing than I used to be. No one had ever told me that using affirmations would become a way of life.
Just as people have said that there is no such thing as a good diet, it's a lifestyle change. The same goes with using positive affirmations. I haven't found the perfect affirmation, one always leads to another, and it becomes a lifestyle change.
What I desire for me, I desire for you
When we talk to ourselves internally, we're helping to create our beliefs. If I want to have positive beliefs for and about myself, guess what, it's more helpful to also have positive beliefs for and about you. : )
Are you saying I have to be 100% perfect from the start?
No, not at all. Although it would be nice if we were. : ) Just know that it's a process, just like anything new that you may undertake. It's a step at a time. Your desires will lead you to new ideas and to your answers.

A new feeling or thought can come by first changing your expression. So go ahead and raise the corners of your mouth, even if just for a second, and then for two. Then let it go, and go for three seconds.
It's okay to smile. You don't even need a reason.
