Yes, legendary creatures can be quite scary. Try meeting a werewolf on a dark full moon night! Or how about a troll, bigfoot, or the Headless Horseman? Most people will be screaming at the sight! The Greeks had some pretty scary characters too - like the Minotaur (that's for the guys) and Medusa, a pretty scary woman.

So, if you fancy a scary costume for Halloween this year, try out one of these legendary creatures - you'll soon have people running away in horror!

Trolls

Trolls are notoriously ugly. And since they're rather large they are also considered pretty dangerous, which is why it's wise to keep out of their way!

Even though trolls are supposedly rather stupid, and turn to stone in the sun, they definitely are scary creatures.

The costume includes shirt with attached belt, and mask with attached hat.

Does not include pants or shoes - just wear your own!

Note, the scary-looking axe is not included, so you'll have to buy a weapon separately.

Werewolf

Werewolves are certainly scary, especially when there's a full moon!

Here's one getting ready to howl to the moon after his transformation. Best to get out of the way fast!

Minotaur

The Minotaur is a chimera, a composite creature that is part man and part bull. It hails from Greek mythology where King Minos apparently kept one in his maze.

The Minotaur was a bloodthirsty creature, and was kept happy by being served human sacrifices. So stay away from the Minotaur if you want to live!

For men who want to look like half man half bull!

This surprisingly light-weight costume includes a foam reinforced bull head with foam horns and hollowed out mouth, a latex muscle chest and animal legs. It also has an adjustable loin cloth.

Note: scary weapon not included!

Medusa

Medusa was another creature from Greek mythology.

She had snakes for hair and one look from her eyes would turn you to stone. Quite a dangerous lady!

This costume includes the snake headpiece, snake necklace, and dress.

The dress has attached arm drapes and waist tie, elastic shoulder straps.

You have to add your own shoes.

Bigfoot

 

Bigfoot is this big hairy ape-man that has been purportedly been sighted in the forests of North America. He's also known as Sasquatch.

Since he's quite difficult to observe, some have suggested that Bigfoot is actually shy and more afraid of us than we should be of him.

On the other hand, he's big and certainly could be dangerous, if he exists!

This is a faux fur jumpsuit with a mask. Gloves and shoe covers are also included. One size fits all (unless you're really tall or really short!)

Good for those allergic to latex - the mask is made of molded vinyl.

Headless Horseman

The Headless Horseman is a fictional character from Washington Irving's short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

The Horseman lost his head in the American Revolutionary War and legend has it that his ghost rides around looking for his head. Now that's a scary character to meet, in the dark!

I think this is an amazing costume!

 

This costume is a great outfit - cape, vest, shoulder pads and head piece. You just need to add black pants and shoes (even better, buy vinyl boot tops to be more authentic) and get ready to wear the scariest costume!

 

Comes in several sizes, including for children.
