WhiteMoss and Veronica, Thank you respectively for the article and the appreciation of a charmingly pro-animal, pro-environment film and protagonist!

Lissie,

I like to visit in October when the stunning Autumn colours are like flame on the landscape.
Anytime is beautiful though. I go to "recharge my batteries" every year before winter.

The Beatrix Potter house is a delight. She was so unspoilt , Take a look at picture of Peter Rabbit's garden in the books and Hilltop veg garden is just like that.

I was tearful when we were leaving.

WhiteMoss, "Daffodils" is a poem that I recite every spring when first the yellow beauties emerge near my front, shade garden. Have you seen the film "Miss Potter"? It's a charming combination of information about her delightful children's stories and her environmental interests. Hill Top grounds and house epitomize what I'd have as a dream home and property.
