Travelling with your Summer Crochet Patterns
When travelling with summer crochet patterns, you want to keep in mind the size of your bag and supplies. Here are some ideas to help you keep what you take with you to a minimum.
Quite often crocheters like to take their projects with them wherever they go. This might be to the dr’s office or it might be on a holiday. Regardless of the method of travel, there are some tips to help you with taking your summer crochet patterns.
What do you need?
One of the biggest things that people are guilty of is packing too much. Take a look at what you have in your bag and determine if you truly need it for your summer crochet patterns. This is especially important if you have limited space. You will need the yarn and needle, a copy of the pattern, a pen to mark off where you are and possibly a small kit of supplies. But do you really need to bring your book of summer crochet patterns that you want to try next? Likely not, that can stay home.

Small Supply Kit
What you put in your supply kit to carry with you when working on summer crochet patterns is ultimately up to you, but this is what I carry with me.
- Writing utensil
- Small crochet hook
- Scissors
- A bit of string
- Measuring tape
You can buy pre-made sewing kits which can be quite small or you can put your own together. I have my supplies in a little tin box that I found somewhere. It does not take up a lot of room which is important when travelling with your summer crochet patterns.
Carrying Bag
Another factor that is going to make a huge difference when travelling with your summer crochet patterns is the bag you have. The bigger the bag, the more you are going to feel that you need to put in it. If the bag you have is large, purchase or find a smaller bag for carrying the summer crochet patterns with you. If you are working on a sock, you do not need to carry a bag larger than a grocery bag or even a larger Ziploc bag. If your summer crochet patterns involve a sweater, chances are you will need to carry something larger with you, but it does not have to be as big as a school backpack!

Project Size
Where you are travelling is likely going to determine what you need when you leave home with your summer crochet patterns. If you are heading out to an appointment, it is best to carry small summer crochet patterns as you may only get five minutes to work on it. But if you are heading out on a long road trip, you likely want something that is larger due to the amount of time you will have on your hands if you are not driving.
Summer crochet patterns are great to carry with you as they can be big or small, take up lots of space, or hardly any at all, but they will help keep you occupied when you need.
