I am not the kind of person who likes to drown my food in sauces or salad dressing, but I do like full flavor food. I don't like to eat salad without dressing, or meat and fish without seasoning. What I found with the Walden Farms salad dressings was that since they have no calories I can use as much as I need to add flavor, and not worry about ruining my diet or eating the wrong foods.
I don't have to measure anything, which is something that I can never maintain for more than a week, and I do not get frustrated when I am dieting. And the best thing of all, is that they taste great.
During the summer, my husband and love to grill, and we usually marinate our meat and vegetables in Italian dressing which is a vinegar and oil based dressing. This keeps the meat and vegetables moist and adds flavor. Since oil is severely restricted on this diet, the Italian dressing is out. So we decided to try substituting the Walden Farms Balsamic Vinagrette. I was frankly wary about the results because I have never liked the flavor of no fat salad dressing. But I have to say that I have had a total change of heart. I love the flavor of the marinated food in Walden Farms Balsamic Vinagrette.
So far we have used the Walden Farms Balsamic Vinagrette on beef, chicken, and salmon as well as grilled vegetables such as asparagus (yum!), vidalia onion, portabella mushrooms, and red peppers, all with success.

We were also on a very restrictive diet and I don't know how we would have done it without Walden Farms. I love their products. One of my husband and my favorites was their carmel sauce. I peel and slice a raw apple, sprinkle it with cinnamon and splenda and cook it in the microwave for 2 minutes. When done I add a teaspoon of the carmel sauce...mmm..delicious!!
