Accommodation in Tiger Heaven Called Tadoba

Though Tadoba is tiger heaven, the tourism infrastructure is still in its infancy. The lodges had to cope with the sudden rush of traffic whence the tiger reserve became popular. In the earlier times, the facilities were basic but not today. Some of the finest lodges have emerged around the reserve. According to the rules, no human habitation is allowed in the core zone or the critical tiger habitats in the reserves. Hence all hotels and resorts are situated outside in the buffer which is the outer ring. Though situated deep down in the jungle they are well connected with the main road or the highways the exit and entry points.   

Most of the luxury accommodations offer room space with all modern amenities and nicely done interiors.  The spread is vast with the whole complex set into it. Almost all the resorts offer sit-out facilities and places for camp fire. While some retain natural outdoors other cultivate manicured gardens.   

A pool is essential. At Tadoba it can get hot and humid the pool cools. Some ultra luxury resorts have splash pools within the accommodation space for a dip or a bubble bath. Some have two baths one en-suite and another outside adjacent to the room. 

All luxury stays have large restaurants capable of seating many people. Outside dining and lunch facilities are also provided. Some larger one's may have cafe and lounge as well.     

The luxury wildlife resorts have to provide all meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In between snacks and accompaniments are served but since they are not in the package additional charge has to be paid. 

Meals served are North Indian with a touch of local cuisine, Intercontinental, and often South Indian. The high-end resorts serve exotic meals in fancy restaurants. They also organize picnics, barbecues, and bush dinners in romantic settings.   

Special food preferences are also catered provided the ingredients are available. This is possible only whence advance intimation is sent. 

Food may be spicy but on request, mild recipes are prepared. The real hot items in Indian cuisine are red chili, clove, and pepper so you can ask the chef to avoid them. 

In case local food does not gel with your digestion and palate continental food items like pasta, soup, bread, noodles can be prepared upon intimation. 

Wait service is good with trained locals serving with aplomb. They understand a little bit of English as well.       

Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the vicinity of the preserve. For medicine, you must have purchased in advance at a major town like Nagpur Airport.    

Keep Cash as modern banking facilities may not be available. Many resorts entertain credit cards and are comfortable with online payment systems. Keep cash anyway if you are willing to buy local or aiming to tip the staff and the guides. 

For entry permit payment, cash is required unless the hotel has included it in the package.  

For overseas visitors, it is imperative to request the hotel management to book safari jeeps and entry permits.
