Apple Media Event 2011

by iQwestArticles

We've all been wondering when the new Apple Media Event 2011 would take place so we could get our first glimpse of the new iPhone 5. Well, it looks like that time has come!

Apple Media Event 2011 Scheduled for October?

Getting Close to an Apple Special Event!

Unless you've been living under a tech rock, there's been, as there always is, quite a stir around when we will see the next generation iPhone and iPod Touch devices announced at an Apple Media Event 2011.

Of course, this announcment would bring with it looming expectations of these devices launching shortly thereafter.

As you'd expect, it's still a hodgepodge of rumors at this point, but AllThingsD is reporting that the Apple Media Event will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, and new Apple CEO, Tim Cook, will be taking the stage to give us our first official glimpse of the new iPhone 5!

"That’s the day Apple is currently expected to hold its next big media event, according to sources close to the situation, where the tech giant will unveil the next iteration of its popular iPhone.

...

While Apple could certainly change its plans anytime, sources said that the Oct. 4 date has been selected by the company to showcase the iPhone 5. Sources added that the plan is now to make the new device available for purchase within a few weeks after the announcement."

Confirming this report (safer to say, rumor!), tech insider guru, Jim Dalrymple, responded with a simple, but resoundingly clear, "yep", to AllThingsD's claim surrounding Apple's Special announcement will happen on October 4, 2011.

Correct Apple Media Event Date or Not, We're Getting Close!

Whether or not the Apple Media Event is actually going to be scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, 2011, there's no doubt that Apple will be shortly releasing a new iPhone and iPod Touch.  Whether or not we're going to see a newly redesigned iPhone 5, a new, lower-end iPhone 4S, or a white iPod Touch, still remains up in the air.

However, for months now, most credible tech sources have been pointing towards a September or October iPhone release date and a new iPod Touch 5G release date and those rumors have been increasingly pointing towards and honing in on dates in early to mid October.  Speculation that the Apple Media Event will be held during this time period only makes it that much clearer that we're getting close, very close!

Until the next rumor, we'll continue to try to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together as we all sit (tech lovers, that is) on the edge of our chairs anxiously awaiting Apple's new product offerings.

Apple should pay us for all of the free marketing we generously give them!
